Identify external factors that could influence your project – While describing your resources, you should try to identify any external factors that could influence the flow of your project. These factors will vary from client to client, but could include other projects you or your team members are working on, or upcoming vacations. Set key milestones and deadlines – After compiling your deliverables and resources, it’s time to start scheduling your project activities. Using the sequence of activities and deadlines defined previously, you should try to identify the key milestones for your project. These milestones should range from the dates you intend to complete specific deliverables, to the periods when you reach out to your client and your own team for feedback.

Create Your Schedule – Once you’ve mapped out all of the above, you should have enough information and detail to create your schedule(s).
