Participants have five minutes to outline as many ideas as possible. These mockups will consist of lo-fi renderings of the UI content (images, copy, buttons, accordions, carousels, etc.). Converge. Each member of the team has a short period of time to present her designs and justify the decisions she has made. Team members provide feedback and questions to reveal more information from their peers. Diverge. Once each team member has defended her design, the group will again diverge for five minutes to draw. However, this time the goal will be to produce a unique design.

Build wireframes and prototypes Following our design studies, we move on to the process of wireframing the form. This process synthesizes our research and ideas generated from the design studios, and places them in the first cohesive visual format: wireframes and prototypes. We build wireframes by taking information architecture, research, and content to design a layout that uniquely adheres to the layout. There are no images, just a font, navigation, a logo, and content boxes are placed correctly. This area is where your current site usability testing and all of your research comes into play. We usually start with a desktop design first, however we keep mobile in mind from the start and constantly punch holes in the design relative to mobile. Mobile audience is now higher than desktop.
